'The Passion' of the Americans
By William Rivers Pitt

The television airwaves have been filled for the last several days
with a lot of back-and-forth about Mel Gibson's new film, 'The Passion
of The Christ.' A great deal of debate centers around whether Gibson
has fashioned a broadside against Jewish people in the manner of the
Medieval anti-Semitic passion plays of old. There are plenty of rabbis
arguing with Christian ministers on just about any channel you might
choose to watch, so I'm going to leave that question to them for the
time being.
My question is much simpler: Why would Mel Gibson make a movie
about people in the ancient Middle East and cast it with so many white
people? To look at the central actors in this film, you'd think Jesus
did his work near Manchester, New Hampshire instead of the Holy Land.
The answer to that question lies within the United States, the prime
market for this film. There are millions of Christians in America, some
25% of whom would characterize themselves as evangelical. It stands to
reason that this film would do very well here, especially given the
controversy that has surrounded the content.
The whiteness of the cast, however, speaks to a decidedly
un-Christian truth that lies near the heart of this republic. Simply
put, nailing a white Jesus Christ to the cross on film will generate a
far more emotional response from the American viewing public than the
crucifixion of a savior who actually looks like he is from the Middle
East.
First, let's dispense with the idea that the white people who were
cast to play the most emotive characters - Jesus, Judas, and Mary
Magdalene - have anything to do with historical accuracy. In truth, the
region where Jesus was born was, and remains, populated by brown-skinned
people. The fact of Christ's non-whiteness is borne out in the
historical record, and in biblical scripture. Right off the bat, the
Book of Matthew describes Mary and Joseph fleeing to Egypt to escape the
wrath of Herod. Egypt is in Africa, and is populated by brown-skinned
people. For my money, this would be the last place on earth I would go
to hide a white baby from an angry King.
The earliest renditions of Jesus, painted by the first Christians
called Essenes in the catacombs of Rome, depict a person with brown
skin. During the time of Roman Emperor Justinian II, a gold coin
featuring an image of Jesus was minted. This coin, which today can be
seen in the British Museum, depicts a man with demonstrably non-white
features and tightly curled hair. Finally, there is the Book of
Revelations, which bears out the crafting of the Essenes and the Roman
coin-makers by describing Jesus as having hair like wool, feet the color
of burnt brass, and who resembled jasper and sardine stones. Jasper and
sardine stones are both brown, as is burnt brass.
The Jesus most familiar to Americans, the Jesus featured in
Gibson's film, looks like the front man for an alternative rock band out
of Minnesota. Judas in this film is a shorter version of the same
phenomenon. White skin, long straight brown hair, decidedly European
features - this is not the Jesus that preached revolution against the
Empire long ago. This is the Jesus fashioned by Michelangelo five
centuries ago, who used his white cousin as the model for the savior.
The ugly truth which never even occurs to most Americans is that
Jesus looked a lot more like an Iraqi, like an Afghani, like a
Palestinian, like an Arab, than any of the paintings which grace the
walls of American churches from sea to shining sea. This was an
uncomfortable fact before September 11. After the attack, it became
almost a moral imperative to put as much distance between Americans and
people from the Middle East as possible. Now, to suggest that Jesus
shared a genealogical heritage and physical similarity to the people
sitting in dog cages down in Guantanamo is to dance along the edge of
treason.
George W. Bush calls himself Christian. If you believe him, he is
on armchair-to-armchair relations with the Almighty, enjoying regular
conversations with He Is What He Is on everything from tax policy to
invasion plans. Bush serves a unique dual role as both the Commander in
Chief and as high priest to the evangelical wing of American Christianity.
When Bush did his little flight-suit strut across the aircraft
carrier last May, he proclaimed victory in biblical verse and sent a
signal to those Christians who see him as more than a man. Bush, that
day, quoted Isaiah's passage from the Servant Songs about captives
coming out and slaves being free. This is the same passage, as
described in Luke chapter 4, which Jesus used to announce his coming as
the Son of God. "Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your
hearing," said Jesus. Bush's use of this incredibly loaded passage
speaks as much to his messianic fantasies as it does to his status as
Christian-in-Chief.
Yet this is the same man who invades countries without cause and
consigns tens of thousands of innocents to explosive, burning death.
This is the same man who pushes tax policies that further enrich the
wealthy while stripping funds and services from the neediest in this
nation. This is the man who speaks the language of vengeance, of fear,
of violence. This is the man whose entire moral existence flies in the
face of Christ's words from Luke, chapter 12, verse 15: "Take care to
guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one's life does not
consist of possessions." Sadly, the skewed moral compass of George W.
Bush is shared by too many Americans who would call themselves Christian.
Possibly the most important words ever spoken by Jesus can be
found in Matthew, chapter 5, verses 38-45. "You have heard that it was
said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,'" said Christ. "But
if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also;
and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak
as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two
miles. Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would
borrow from you. You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your
neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and
pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father
who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good,
and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
It is these words that condemn both Bush and the hands-off moral
attitude of too many American Christians. Certainly, Jesus was no fool.
In Luke, chapter 11, verse 21, he said, "When a strong man, fully
armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace." Self-protection,
for person and nation, is both moral and intelligent. But vengeance,
violence and hatred are not Christian. Mercy, love and generosity are
the hallmarks of the teachings of Jesus. If you are to call yourself
Christian, you must be for the poor and the weak, and against empire and
vengeance. Period.
These simple attributes are all too absent in the American soul
and spirit. Gibson's white Jesus is but one example of how far we have
strayed. It is a safe bet that, had Gibson chosen a brown-skinned actor
to portray Jesus, his film would not find a connection in this country.
Millions of Americans try to live by the teachings of Jesus, and do so
with success, but find themselves at odds with those who carry the
banner of Christianity. This is a travesty.
Too many so-called Christians are blind to history, blind to the
actions of our nation, blind to the hypocrisy of our so-called leaders,
and the world bleeds because of it. Too many so-called Christians are
people who would slaughter the savior to protect their power and
position. Were Jesus alive today, he would probably nail himself to the
cross to get away from all these people who act like barbarians in His

Aryan race
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

De: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan_race La Encyclopedia gratis de el Internet.

The Aryan race is a concept within 19th century and 20th century European culture. It was claimed by
19th century ethnologists that 'white' European peoples originated from an ancient people called the
Aryans, a name derived from the Sanskrit and Avestan word Arya, which means 'noble person'. This
idea arose when linguists identified these two closely related languages as the earliest known
ancestors of all the major European languages, including Latin, Greek, Germanic and Celtic. They
argued that the speakers of these languages, who called themselves ‘Arya’ must have been the
ancestors of all the European peoples. From this point the term "Aryan" came to mean something
similar to "white person". It also, significantly, excluded Jewish people from 'Aryan' identity
because their ancestral Hebrew language has a different origin.

The beliefs and geographical origins of the ancient Arya were much disputed at this time. Avestan
was the language of ancient Persia. Sanskrit is originally associated with the Indus Valley in the
north of India, just to the east of Persia. The indigenous (and modern) name for Persia, "Iran", is
a variant of "Aryan" (in fact it is Ayr + -an, "land of Aryans", where -an is a suffix of location
in Persian). Furthermore, the leaders of Persia called themselves Aryans. Darius the Great, King of
Persia (521 - 486 BC), in an inscription in Naqsh-e-Rostam (near Shiraz, Iran) proclaims: "I am
Darius, the Great King, ..., A Persian, son of a Persian, an Aryan, having Aryan lineage...". The
Avesta also records a homeland, called Airyanem Vaejah (The Aryan Expanse), from which the Aryans
are supposed to have migrated.

These and other findings suggested that an Aryan people whose descendants were the Achamenians
(Cyrus and Darius the Great) existed and proclaimed it. However, many of these usages are also
intelligible if we understand the word Aryan in its sense of 'noble'. Nevertheless many scholars
accepted that the term originally identified a specific people and their culture. Certainly, an
originating culture can be postulated behind those of ancient Persia and India. Other nearby
peoples, notably the Hittites and Mitanni, also seem to have shared it. This culture worshipped the
gods Indra, Varuna and Agni and Mithras. They also placed great emphasis on the ritualistic use of a
hallucinogenic drink called Soma, extracted from an unknown plant. However, as groups separated and
migrated, their religions changed. Eventually the Persian Zoroastrian and Indian Vedic faiths
emerged from the primal Aryan belief-system. See also: Aryan gods.

This evidence gave rise to the search for the original Aryan homeland, and thus, it was believed, to
the origins of the European 'race'. Many scholars argued that the Aryans originated in the Inner
Asian Steppes, from which they migrated both west into Europe and south into Afghanistan, Iran,
Pakistan and parts of Northern India around 1800 BC. The spread of the Aryans was supposed to
explain how it came to pass that Indo-European languages became so widespread throughout Europe and
Asia. It was thought, moreover, that the Aryans came as conquerors, displacing earlier peoples, in
most of the places where the languages were spoken. They were able to conquer so much territory
because their nomadic lifestyle, their use of the horse and wheeled vehicles such as chariots gave
them a decisive military advantage. This model of conquest and cultural replacement was once widely
accepted, but now has generally been rejected, at least as it pertains to Europe as a whole.
Conquest, if it occurred, was a local phenomenon; there is no evidence of general warfare or
cultural replacements. It is also difficult to tell what language people spoke from pre-literate
artifacts; where conquest has occurred, it may have been one group of Indo-Europeans by another.

Largely because of its association with Nazi and imperialist racism (see below), the term 'Aryan' is
now problematic. However, in the Vedas the word is never used in a racial or ethnic sense. Arya is
still used by Zoroastrians, Buddhists, and Jains, as well as Hindus, to mean "noble" or "spiritual."
It is similar to the Sanskrit word sri, an epithet of respect. The claim that a distinct Aryan
people once existed is still debated. In scholarly contexts the term is now only used to label the
proto-culture from which the Zoroastrian and Vedic beliefs emerged. In linguistics the Indo-Aryan
languages are those that derive from Sanskrit. The speakers of the original unified Indo-European
language are no longer called Aryans, but are referred to as PIEs, or Proto-Indo-Europeans. However,
some white supremacist groups, such as Aryan Nations, still use the term Aryan as a racial label.

Nazi and imperialist uses of the term
The Russian Steppe theory of Aryan origins was not the only one circulating during the nineteenth
century. Many German scholars argued that the Aryans originated in ancient Germany or Scandinavia,
or at least that in those countries the original Aryan ethnicity had been preserved. It was widely
believed in that the Vedic Aryans were ethnically identical to the Goths, Vandals and other ancient
Germanic peoples of the Völkerwanderung. This idea was often intertwined with anti-semitic ideas. It
was claimed that there were distinct 'Aryan' and 'Semitic' peoples, based on these assumptions about
the linguistic and ethnic history of the ancient world. In this way Semitic peoples came to be seen
as an alien presence within 'Aryan' societies.

This idea evolved into the Nazi's use of the term Aryan race to refer to what they saw as being a
"master race" of people of northern European descent, going so far as to murder mentally ill
children in order to maintain its purity under Hitler's T-4 Euthanasia Program. This usage now has
nearly no meaning outside of Nazi or neo-Nazi ideology.

In India, under the British Empire, the British rulers also used the idea of a distinct Aryan race
in order to ally British power with the Indian caste system. It was argued that the Aryans were
'white' people who had invaded India in ancient times, subordinating the dark skinned native
Dravidian peoples, who were pushed to the south. The Aryans had established themselves as the
dominant castes. They were also the authors of the most intellectually sophisticated Vedic writings
of the Hindu faith. There was thus a natural alliance between the British and the descendants of the
ancient Aryans. All discussion of Aryan or Dravidian "races" remains highly controversial in India
to this day, but does continue to affect political and religious debate. Some Dravidians, most
commonly Tamils, claim that the worship of Shiva is a distinct Dravidian religion, to be
distinguished from Brahminical "Aryan" Hinduism. In contrast, the Indian nationalist Hindutva
movement denies that an Aryan invasion or migration ever occurred, arguing that Vedic beliefs
emerged from the Indus Valley Civilisation, which is generally supposed to have pre-dated the advent
of the Aryans in India. See also: Aryan invasion

These debates also led to the Theosophical movement founded by Helena Blavatsky and Henry Olcott at
the end of the nineteenth century. This was an early kind of New Age philosophy, that took
inspiration from Indian culture, in particular from the Hindu reform movement the Arya Samaj founded
by Swami Dayananda. The theosophs claimed the Aryans to be God’s chosen race to free the world. The
German Guido v. List Society later took up these ideas, mixing this ideology with nationalistic
ideas. Such views also fed into the development of Nazi ideology.

invencion del Oriente como un todo. Terminos paridos de esta intencion son;
Tercer mundo, sub-desarollado, blanco y negro, inteligente, etc.

Aryan race
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
De: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan_race La Encyclopedia gratis de el Internet.
The Aryan race is a concept within 19th century and 20th century European
culture. It was claimed by
Post by Observador
19th century ethnologists that 'white' European peoples originated from an
ancient people called the
Post by Observador
Aryans, a name derived from the Sanskrit and Avestan word Arya, which
means 'noble person'. This
Post by Observador
idea arose when linguists identified these two closely related languages
as the earliest known
Post by Observador
ancestors of all the major European languages, including Latin, Greek,
Germanic and Celtic. They
Post by Observador
argued that the speakers of these languages, who called themselves 'Arya'
must have been the
Post by Observador
ancestors of all the European peoples. From this point the term "Aryan"
came to mean something
Post by Observador
similar to "white person". It also, significantly, excluded Jewish people
from 'Aryan' identity
Post by Observador
because their ancestral Hebrew language has a different origin.
The beliefs and geographical origins of the ancient Arya were much
disputed at this time. Avestan
Post by Observador
was the language of ancient Persia. Sanskrit is originally associated with
the Indus Valley in the
Post by Observador
north of India, just to the east of Persia. The indigenous (and modern)
name for Persia, "Iran", is
Post by Observador
a variant of "Aryan" (in fact it is Ayr + -an, "land of Aryans", where -an
is a suffix of location
Post by Observador
in Persian). Furthermore, the leaders of Persia called themselves Aryans.
Darius the Great, King of
Post by Observador
Persia (521 - 486 BC), in an inscription in Naqsh-e-Rostam (near Shiraz,
Iran) proclaims: "I am
Post by Observador
Darius, the Great King, ..., A Persian, son of a Persian, an Aryan, having
Aryan lineage...". The
Post by Observador
Avesta also records a homeland, called Airyanem Vaejah (The Aryan
Expanse), from which the Aryans
Post by Observador
are supposed to have migrated.
These and other findings suggested that an Aryan people whose descendants
were the Achamenians
Post by Observador
(Cyrus and Darius the Great) existed and proclaimed it. However, many of
these usages are also
Post by Observador
intelligible if we understand the word Aryan in its sense of 'noble'.
Nevertheless many scholars
Post by Observador
accepted that the term originally identified a specific people and their
culture. Certainly, an
Post by Observador
originating culture can be postulated behind those of ancient Persia and India. Other nearby
peoples, notably the Hittites and Mitanni, also seem to have shared it.
This culture worshipped the
Post by Observador
gods Indra, Varuna and Agni and Mithras. They also placed great emphasis
on the ritualistic use of a
Post by Observador
hallucinogenic drink called Soma, extracted from an unknown plant.
However, as groups separated and
Post by Observador
migrated, their religions changed. Eventually the Persian Zoroastrian and Indian Vedic faiths
emerged from the primal Aryan belief-system. See also: Aryan gods.
This evidence gave rise to the search for the original Aryan homeland, and
thus, it was believed, to
Post by Observador
the origins of the European 'race'. Many scholars argued that the Aryans
originated in the Inner
Post by Observador
Asian Steppes, from which they migrated both west into Europe and south
into Afghanistan, Iran,
Post by Observador
Pakistan and parts of Northern India around 1800 BC. The spread of the Aryans was supposed to
explain how it came to pass that Indo-European languages became so
widespread throughout Europe and
Post by Observador
Asia. It was thought, moreover, that the Aryans came as conquerors,
displacing earlier peoples, in
Post by Observador
most of the places where the languages were spoken. They were able to
conquer so much territory
Post by Observador
because their nomadic lifestyle, their use of the horse and wheeled
vehicles such as chariots gave
Post by Observador
them a decisive military advantage. This model of conquest and cultural
replacement was once widely
Post by Observador
accepted, but now has generally been rejected, at least as it pertains to Europe as a whole.
Conquest, if it occurred, was a local phenomenon; there is no evidence of general warfare or
cultural replacements. It is also difficult to tell what language people
spoke from pre-literate
Post by Observador
artifacts; where conquest has occurred, it may have been one group of
Indo-Europeans by another.
Post by Observador
Largely because of its association with Nazi and imperialist racism (see
below), the term 'Aryan' is
Post by Observador
now problematic. However, in the Vedas the word is never used in a racial
or ethnic sense. Arya is
Post by Observador
still used by Zoroastrians, Buddhists, and Jains, as well as Hindus, to
mean "noble" or "spiritual."
Post by Observador
It is similar to the Sanskrit word sri, an epithet of respect. The claim
that a distinct Aryan
Post by Observador
people once existed is still debated. In scholarly contexts the term is
now only used to label the
Post by Observador
proto-culture from which the Zoroastrian and Vedic beliefs emerged. In
linguistics the Indo-Aryan
Post by Observador
languages are those that derive from Sanskrit. The speakers of the
original unified Indo-European
Post by Observador
language are no longer called Aryans, but are referred to as PIEs, or
Proto-Indo-Europeans. However,
Post by Observador
some white supremacist groups, such as Aryan Nations, still use the term
Aryan as a racial label.
Post by Observador
Nazi and imperialist uses of the term
The Russian Steppe theory of Aryan origins was not the only one
circulating during the nineteenth
Post by Observador
century. Many German scholars argued that the Aryans originated in ancient
Germany or Scandinavia,
Post by Observador
or at least that in those countries the original Aryan ethnicity had been
preserved. It was widely
Post by Observador
believed in that the Vedic Aryans were ethnically identical to the Goths,
Vandals and other ancient
Post by Observador
Germanic peoples of the Völkerwanderung. This idea was often intertwined
with anti-semitic ideas. It
Post by Observador
was claimed that there were distinct 'Aryan' and 'Semitic' peoples, based
on these assumptions about
Post by Observador
the linguistic and ethnic history of the ancient world. In this way
Semitic peoples came to be seen
Post by Observador
as an alien presence within 'Aryan' societies.
This idea evolved into the Nazi's use of the term Aryan race to refer to
what they saw as being a
Post by Observador
"master race" of people of northern European descent, going so far as to murder mentally ill
children in order to maintain its purity under Hitler's T-4 Euthanasia
Program. This usage now has
Post by Observador
nearly no meaning outside of Nazi or neo-Nazi ideology.
In India, under the British Empire, the British rulers also used the idea
of a distinct Aryan race
Post by Observador
in order to ally British power with the Indian caste system. It was argued
that the Aryans were
Post by Observador
'white' people who had invaded India in ancient times, subordinating the dark skinned native
Dravidian peoples, who were pushed to the south. The Aryans had established themselves as the
dominant castes. They were also the authors of the most intellectually
sophisticated Vedic writings
Post by Observador
of the Hindu faith. There was thus a natural alliance between the British
and the descendants of the
Post by Observador
ancient Aryans. All discussion of Aryan or Dravidian "races" remains
highly controversial in India
Post by Observador
to this day, but does continue to affect political and religious debate.
Some Dravidians, most
Post by Observador
commonly Tamils, claim that the worship of Shiva is a distinct Dravidian religion, to be
distinguished from Brahminical "Aryan" Hinduism. In contrast, the Indian nationalist Hindutva
movement denies that an Aryan invasion or migration ever occurred, arguing that Vedic beliefs
emerged from the Indus Valley Civilisation, which is generally supposed to
have pre-dated the advent
Post by Observador
of the Aryans in India. See also: Aryan invasion
These debates also led to the Theosophical movement founded by Helena
Blavatsky and Henry Olcott at
Post by Observador
the end of the nineteenth century. This was an early kind of New Age philosophy, that took
inspiration from Indian culture, in particular from the Hindu reform
movement the Arya Samaj founded
Post by Observador
by Swami Dayananda. The theosophs claimed the Aryans to be God's chosen
race to free the world. The
Post by Observador
German Guido v. List Society later took up these ideas, mixing this
ideology with nationalistic
Post by Observador
ideas. Such views also fed into the development of Nazi ideology.

'The Passion' of the Americans
By William Rivers Pitt
t r u t h o u t | Perspective
Friday 27 February 2004
Simply
put, nailing a white Jesus Christ to the cross on film will generate a
far more emotional response from the American viewing public than the
crucifixion of a savior who actually looks like he is from the Middle East.
First, let's dispense with the idea that the white people who were
cast to play the most emotive characters - Jesus, Judas, and Mary
Magdalene - have anything to do with historical accuracy. In truth, the
region where Jesus was born was, and remains, populated by
brown-skinned

Possibly the most important words ever spoken by Jesus can be found
in Matthew, chapter 5, verses 38-45. "You have heard that it was said,
'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,'" said Christ. "But if any
one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if
any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as
well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow
from you. You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor
and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for
those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is
in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and
sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
It is these words that condemn both Bush and the hands-off moral
attitude of too many American Christians. Certainly, Jesus was no fool.
In Luke, chapter 11, verse 21, he said, "When a strong man, fully
armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace."
Self-protection,

for person and nation, is both moral and intelligent. But vengeance,
violence and hatred are not Christian. Mercy, love and generosity are
the hallmarks of the teachings of Jesus. If you are to call yourself
Christian, you must be for the poor and the weak, and against empire and
vengeance. Period.
These simple attributes are all too absent in the American soul and
spirit.
Too many so-called Christians are
people who would slaughter the savior to protect their power and
position. Were Jesus alive today, he would probably nail himself to the
cross to get away from all these people who act like barbarians in His
name.

Otro ejemplo mas del "orientalismo" del cual le encanta a los paises

'The Passion' of the Americans
By William Rivers Pitt
t r u t h o u t | Perspective
Friday 27 February 2004
"But
if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also;
and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak
as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two
Too many so-called Christians are
people who would slaughter the savior to protect their power and
position. Were Jesus alive today, he would probably nail himself to the
cross to get away from all these people who act like barbarians in His
name.

Damocles,
Touché brother you got me! When I started reading your article I thought
it might be about ethnicity in the Middle East some 2000 years ago. But it
morphed into an attack on George Bush. Man you're good, I didn't see that

violence and hatred are not Christian.
Too many so-called Christians are
people who would slaughter the savior to protect their power and
position. Were Jesus alive today, he would probably nail himself to the
cross to get away from all these people who act like barbarians in His
name.

'The Passion' of the Americans
By William Rivers Pitt
t r u t h o u t | Perspective
Friday 27 February 2004
Bush serves a unique dual role as both the Commander in
Chief and as high priest to the evangelical wing of American
Christianity.
"But
if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also;
and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak
as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two

'The Passion' of the Americans
By William Rivers Pitt
t r u t h o u t | Perspective
Friday 27 February 2004
In truth, the
region where Jesus was born was, and remains, populated by
brown-skinned
"But
if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also;
and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak
as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two
In Luke, chapter 11, verse 21, he said, "When a strong man, fully
armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace."
Self-protection,
for person and nation, is both moral and intelligent. But vengeance,
violence and hatred are not Christian. Mercy, love and generosity are
the hallmarks of the teachings of Jesus. If you are to call yourself
Christian, you must be for the poor and the weak, and against empire and
vengeance.
Too many so-called Christians are
people who would slaughter the savior to protect their power and
position. Were Jesus alive today, he would probably nail himself to the
cross to get away from all these people who act like barbarians in His
name.

Damocles,
Touché brother you got me! When I started reading your article I thought
it might be about ethnicity in the Middle East some 2000 years ago. But it
morphed into an attack on George Bush. Man you're good, I didn't see that
coming.
So George Bush and WASP America are responsible for the death Jesus of
Nazerth. Thank you, I never would have made that connection.
George W. Bush is a liar and a thief. Why defend him?
He didn't kill Jesus, "pero ganas no le faltan".

Mr Bathwater,
The Americans I associate with prefer a President like Bush because of his
personal values and work ethic. In George Bush we see the Harvard MBA.
Runs the ship of state like a business. Juniors are empowered, meeting are
held on time and people can make plans. A checker player, more like us,
still thinks baseball is the American game. Dives a truck and has a plain
looking wife.
Right now the alternatives to President Bush are Ralph Nader, peaked in
the 1960's; I liked Corvairs. And John Kerry, consistently voted the most
liberal member of the senate, we don't know where he stand on the issues
because he is always flip-flopping. What effect will Kerry have on taxes?
My taxes have gone down over the last four years and I like it that way.
Does Kerry like sports? Does he own a car, other than government had he
ever had a real job?
So Mr. Bathwater, I am a Bush/Cheney 04 kind of guy. I trust the
President because I think he has the cojones to tackle the most important
issue of our time, which is extreme Islam. Peace.

[personal values and work ethic]
What personal values? the guy has been struggling with alcoholism all his
life making havoc of every body around him.

[Harvard MBA. Runs the ship of state like a business.]
Has never been a captain to no ship, besides he can not even run his own gas
station. Oh, by the way MBA is a generic term for a master's degree on
business administration and can be done even in statistics or quantitative
methods.

[Juniors are empowered, meeting are held on time and people can make plans.]
You are just relying on plans? Where then is the much needed action?

[A checker player]
No doubt about it. From where does he start the game, from the center or
the sides?

[Dives a truck]
I must admit it, Ford donated a Crew Cab for publicity reason, but the truth
is that he dove his own truck in a ditch

[a plain looking wife.]
Is this plain prejudice or biased chauvinism?, please explain.

[I liked Corvairs]
The planes that his dad flew or the good for nothing gas guzzler oil
spitting vehicles that Chevrolet introduced to prove how stupid a
corporation can be when it does not hear what the consumers want?

[My taxes have gone down over the last four years]
Yes, pretty shure about that. They have gone DOWN the drain for the last
four years to arm an army that is been killed every day in a foreign land
just to keep open Arbustos's Gas Station.

[I trust the President because I think he has the "cojones" to "tackle" the
most important issue of our time, which is extreme Islam. Peace.]
Football and jalapenos? Mmmm! good combination for Sunday noon and Monday
analysis. Extreme Islam and Peace don't mix ever since arbustos's gas boy
are around.

Word of advice: Think before you write and write thinking.

BTW, it is ok to say no to your white friends, don't feel like you need
to brownnose them. do it all the time and I get more respect than you.
In George Bush we see the Harvard MBA.
Moron, He only got into an Ivy League university, not Harvard, Yale,
because his father went to the same university. It's called heritage
admits. A way of preservinf Affirmative Action for the rich.

Peace.

George W. Bush is a liar and a thief. Why defend him?
He didn't kill Jesus, "pero ganas no le faltan".
